They are influenced by a range of rockers from modern day Foo Fighters to the 80’s rock queen Joan Jett; from the prog rock of Pink Floyd to the suburban garage rock pop of Cheap Trick.

The four-on-the-floor drums and pulsing bass lay down the foundation of what is a classic example of how The Pulltops combine Album Rock with Alternative and Power Pop to create a track that is equal parts fun and intense. This new version, mixed by Daniel Waldmann at Silent Underground Studios, is a special release to help celebrate their 15th anniversary.

Live En Route is their 5th release and first live album. This one hour set contains a mix of brand new material, along with songs from their last 2 studio albums, and a few covers for fun. The Pulltops turn it up a notch for their live shows and add a punk energy and a few rough edges to their otherwise polished studio sound. The familiar and catchy melodies are enhanced by new arrangements and extended instrumental jams that are a staple of their live shows.

Fly Away exposes the more vulnerable acoustic side of this Power Pop trio, yet still retains their pop sensibilities with strong melodies and rich harmonies. The Pulltops have always focused their career on the combination of short and catchy pop songs with the longer and darker experimental side of album rock, while also adding in the variety of influences they have from the Country, Soul and Classic Rock genres.

These songs were from the very first recording sessions that became the birth of the band in late 2001. They were originally recorded as gifts for their family and friends, and not originally intended for public release. Now as the band finds themselves celebrating their 15th anniversary, they have decided to remix and officially release the songs that started it all.

If you mix Pink Floyd’s experimentation, U2’s creativity, and the Pop sensibilities of the Gin Blossoms, you get the sound of The Pulltops self titled third album.

The Pulltops third full-length release brings them precisely to where they intended to be. Catchy melodies and rich harmonies are sandwiched between instrumental landscapes. All of which is covered with a dark edge that gives this album great musical depth. It’s Album Rock from start to finish.

The Pulltops 2004 release, As Seen On TV, is an excellent follow-up to their debut album, 8-Track. They still manage to keep their 60's and 70's influence while sounding fresh and new. This album, however, has more of a focus on the 70's side of rock. The songs are slightly darker than the polished pop of their first release. This album sounds more mature and more developed. Have no fear, The Pulltops don't stray too far from the well crafted 3 minute pop song. The songs on this CD have a distinct pop feel on the surface, but put forth more attitude and feel than their first release. As Seen On TV has the makings of an excellent sophomore album.
